Family Bible Study

Children learn first and best in a family setting. Parents have primary responsibility to teach their children about God (Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Ephesians 6:4). Ideally, Bible curriculum and Bible class teaching supplement what children learn at home.

Here are ways you can encourage your child using features of Shaping Hearts for God curriculum.

  • Use the Parents’ Page found in Student Workbooks Levels 1, 2, and 3 reinforcing the Bible Readings, Memory Verses, and Lessons.
  • A chart included on page 2 of all Student Workbooks features the Bible Readings for the entire quarter of study. Parents may use this as a guide for family Bible reading.
  • Create opportunities to reinforce Memory Verses and Bible Facts during commutes to worship or other longer drives. Don’t miss the incentive of competition between siblings or friends.
